Give a Dog a Bone, dedicated to Quigley, the Aldrich family boxer, was started by Robin and Mike Aldrich in February of 2005. Quiggley was diagnosed at five years old with mast cell cancer and given one year to live. Robin and Mike, not willing to give up on their boxer boy, decided to research alternative therapies for the treatment of cancer, including natural foods and supplements.
Putting their findings into action, Quiggley, the cancer dog, lived and loved for six more wonderful years, passing away at age 11, surrounded by the family who loved him. It was through this experience that Give a Dog a Bone was born.
